When to Go Malaysia

The weather conditions in Malaysia are not similar all round the year. However, weather in Malaysia is hot and humid year round, interspersed with tropical rain showers. Entire country has a classic equatorial climate with high temperature and wet months throughout the year. During September and October the showers are heavier, however even during the rainy season it is still possible to enjoy a week or two's holiday experiencing little more than the occasional short tropical downpour. With heavier seas at this time of year, diving is poor during September and October due to bad visibility.

East Coast – Weather Conditions Are a Bit Different

Kuantan, Tioman Island, Perhentian Islands, Terengganu, Redang and Kota Bharu are the part of East Coast where you will feel hot and sunny weather all round the year with the warm waters of the South China Sea – generating a breeze – moderating the humidity somewhat. North-East Monsoon strikes between November and February. Avoid exploring the islands during these months. Rain is heavier on this part of Peninsula and can disrupt boat crossings.

Best Time to See Kuala Lumpur and Malacca

Kuala Lumpur and Malacca are hot and humid throughout the year; while the temperature ranges from 22ºC to 32ºC year round. You will notice the weather conditions with tropical climate and showers that occur almost daily. Not to mention downpours for the duration of rainy season that continues from April to October. However, downpours are not much heavier in comparison to rest of the year. This is all that can bring soothing relief to the sometimes stifling humidity. Malacca is also a wonderful place that gets benefits from a sea breeze – bringing the temperatures down by 1 or 2 degrees and on a humid day that can make all the difference.
