Mr Parekh and his two boys travel to pattaya and bangkok

One of the most popular travel packages from India is to Pattaya and Bangkok. I, Mr Pragnesh Parekh took a package from Smart Holiday Shop for Pattaya and Bangkok along with my two children and we enjoyed the best trip of our lifetime! here – Mr Parekh and his two boys travel to pattaya and bangkok.

Before we tell you about our itinerary and the wonderful places that we saw, let us tell you about the reasons we chose these two destinations for our trip!

Thailand’s famous beach resort town of Pattaya has developed a colorful reputation over the years. Located less than 200 kilometers from Thailand‘s capital city of Bangkok, it’s a convenient place to enjoy the sun, sand, and sea. Pattaya has drawn tourists and expats from all over the world ever since US soldiers “discovered” the once-sleepy getaway destination during the Vietnam War.

Since then, Pattaya’s profile has steadily increased, and it is now one of the most popular beach destinations in southeast asia. In recent years, the government has made efforts to attract families to Pattaya, and you’ll find a host of kid-friendly attractions, like water parks and an aquarium.

Glittering with lights, a lot of hustle bustle and a little bit of chaos, Bangkok is the capital city of Thailand and is packed with top 10 tourist attractions in thailand bangkok  – historical, religious or natural. A haven for shoppers, it attracts people from all over the world to its markets. It is often touted as the party capital of South East Asia.

Bangkok also offers a bundle of fantastic street food, non-stop action and unforgettable experiences. Buzzing with energy at one end and immersed in peace and serenity at the other, Bangkok hums its own tune. The place represents a perfect amalgamation of modern and traditional culture.

Day 1:  Time to kick-off the vacation!

We took an overnight flight from Mumbai to Thailand where a warm welcome awaited us at the Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport. From there, the agent’s representatives receives us and escort us to Pattaya. The road journey along the coast offered some splendid views in itself. After we reached our hotel in Pattaya, Avani Ocean, we checked-in and relaxed for a while to get rid of the flight’s tiredness. We spent the rest of the day checking out some of the best tourist attractions in Pattaya.

We started with the Sriracha Tiger Zoo located on the outskirts of Pattaya. My children loved the zoo with its population of 200 tigers and around 10,000 crocodiles, the largest such populations in the world. After having lots of fun in the zoo, we headed to the Pattaya Walking Street which is the biggest and busiest party hotspot in Thailand.

A full kilometre from its high-tech gateway at the Beach Road end to the Bali Hai Plaza end, almost every building along its length is a nightclub, go-go bar, beer bar or restaurant. The remarkable thing about Pattaya Walking Street is that there is so much to see and do, and it is so densely packed that you could spend every night for a whole week there and not get bored!

We headed to a famous restaurant and gorged on a delicious dinner before returning to the hotel. At the hotel, we did not have the strength to do anything, and just hopped on our cozy beds for a peaceful sleep.

Day 2: Coral Islands Tour

On our second day in Pattaya, we decided to head to the Coral islands also known as Koh Larn, which is a short 30-minute speedboat ride or 45-minute ferry ride from Pattaya. It is a relatively peaceful escape from tourist-packed Pattaya. Several white-sand beaches stretch along the shores of the island, with food stalls, restroom facilities, and plenty of water sports. We took part in the water sports such as jet skiing.

Other activities are parasailing, banana boat rides, and underwater Sea Walking. You can rent motorbikes to tour the island, and this is one of the most popular places for families to spend the day away from the hubbub of Pattaya. We returned to Pattaya and enjoyed a great dinner at our hotel before crashing on our beds. We needed some energy the next day to start Phase 2 of our trip.

Day 3: Hello Bangkok!

We woke up and enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast spread at our hotel before checking out and hailing a cab to Bangkok, the second part of our vacation. On arrival, we checked in to our hotel, Baiyoke sky which was every bit as splendid as it looked in the pictures.

After resting for a bit, we decided to explore the city  and started with SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World, formerly known as Siam Ocean World. It is located two storeys underneath the glitzy Siam Paragon shopping mall and is an aquatic wonderland the size of three Olympic swimming pools. This underground aquarium, one of the largest in Southeast Asia, will dazzle you with innovative world-class exhibits and over 30,000 interesting animals.

You can greet the ocean’s deadliest predators in the 270-degree underwater tunnel, sneak a peek into the open ocean from a glass-bottom boat, or, if you really can’t resist, dive in and have a swim amongst the sharks and rays. For my children, those few hours spent at SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World were as educational as they were exhilarating and memorable. We had dinner at a restaurant in the mall and headed back to the hotel to sleep.

Day 4: Safari World Hurray!

This day was as exciting as any other. We started with a fine breakfast at our hotel and after getting ready, headed to the world famous Safari World and Marine Park in Bangkok. This huge park is divided into two areas, a drive through safari park and a marine park which also offers a number of shows.  We started with Safari World, where the safari drive through offers a chance to view wild animals closely from Africa and Asia on a 5 kilometer drive through African safari like wilderness.

We viewed many animals here such as rhino, deer, bear, zebra, giraffe and many kinds of tropical birds in a natural like habitat. As you will get very close to the animals, this ride also provides excellent photo opportunities. A separate area enclosed by double gates is home of the lions and the Bengal tigers. Every morning at 10 am the lions and tigers are being fed, which can be observed by visitors and is an unforgettable experience.

Top 15 Fun Things to Do in Phuket

The second part of the park is the Marine Park, which is a walk through Zoo with a number of animal shows. In this part of the park animals as walrus, orang utan, kangaroo, monkey, crocodile, tapir, all kinds of tropical birds and giant fish can be seen.

Kids love the safari terrace where you can walk up a ramp to come face to face with the giraffes, which children can feed. Buckets of food can be bought for 40 Baht. After lunch at 1:45 pm, the dolphin show starts where these intelligent and friendly animals perform a number of tricks, playing with balls and effortlessly making somersaults. Indeed, the memories that we made at this place will forever stay etched in our hearts.

Day 5: Sightseeing in Bangkok

We set off early for some sightseeing on the 5th day of our vacation. We started the day with visiting Wat Traimit – Temple of Golden Buddha and Wat Pho  – Temple of the Reclining Buddha. We spent the afternoon shopping for souvenirs and presents for our friends and families and made up for all the tiredness with a hearty lunch.

sightseeing in bangkok mr parekh and his two boys travel to pattaya and bangkok

We decided to go for the Chao Phraya River dinner cruise in the evening. Which offers one of the most spectacular cruise dining experiences in Thailand. the Chao Phraya Cruise offers one of the most memorable dinner cruise experiences down the as you take in the riverside scenery.

Historic temples and landmarks slowly unfold on your left and right as dinner is served in buffet style, and a live band and professional singers entertain you with a varied performance. The Chao Phraya Cruise delivers timeless memories and is ideal for private parties, wedding receptions, or meeting and incentive groups. After the day has treated you well, return to the hotel for a restful sleep.

Day 6: Adios Thailand!

It was particularly tough to wake up on this day since we knew it was time to bid farewell to Thailand and the amazing vacation that we had. We kickstarted our day with a hearty breakfast and checked out from the hotel. We were transferred to the Bangkok International airport to board our flight back to Mumbai.
